Qatargas continued its support to the Doha Oilmen’s Golf Tournament as ‘Gold Sponsors’. The event was held on Friday at the Doha Golf Club (DGC). Qatargas also participated in the tournament along with teams from several companies from the oil and gas industry in Qatar.
This year’s event is the 18th edition of the annual golfing event launched in 1998, primarily for golf enthusiasts working in the oil and gas industry in Qatar. Qatargas has been supporting the event for the past several years as part of its corporate social responsibility program. The tournament also provides an opportunity for Qatargas employees to participate and represent the company.
The Doha Oilmen’s Golf Tournament is a very popular event in Qatar’s golfing calendar. Qatargas organizes its own Golf Tournament for employees and stakeholders every year at the DGC. Furthermore, the company has extended support to DGC’s Junior Golf Programme with the objective of popularizing the game of golf in Qatar.
The Doha Oilmen’s Golf Tournament is actively involved in supporting and encouraging junior golfers in Qatar through the Doha Oilmen’s Academy. The Academy provides weekly lessons to 24 junior players, helping them to develop their skills.
